How Often Cometh The Bath Kol?

In Moed Kattan [18b] it says that EVERY DAY a heavenly voice [בת קול] announces whom one is going to marry.

In Sotah [2a] this בת קול only proclaims who your mate is forty days before your conception.

How do we resolve this contradiction?
