A former Harvard lecturer and biological researcher who saw her career crumble after insisting that there are only two genders broke down as she discussed the decline of the embattled university.
'I gave everything to that place,' Carole Hooven said. 'I had expected that they would (support me).'
Hooven found herself at the center of a media storm in July 2021 after condemning medical school professors for removing the terms 'male' and 'female' from official vocabulary, telling Fox News that she was 'pretty frustrated' that 'ideology has been infiltrating science'.
PhD student Laura Simone Lewis sparked backlash after she slated Hoover's remarks, such as opposing the use of terms such as 'pregnant people', as 'dangerous' and transphobic'.
