Actually - BIG problem!!
דברים בטלים is actually an aveirah. So is ביטול זמן and ביטול תורה. Cell phones are major purveyors of these איסורים. So is שיחת חולין in a בית מדרש or בית כנסת [where these phones are ubiquitous] serious infractions. The very fact that the phone is brought into a בית השם is a ביזיון.
In a similar vein: People think it is only the Tucker Carlson's and Candace Owen's of the world who are problematic or the progressive leftists.
The reality is that even the "good" Internet influencers, the pro-Israel, Conservative, Republican ones, are also very problematic. Whether is it the language they use or various viewpoints they have that counter those of the Torah - they should not be influencing us. Their minds are filled with the filth of the Internet and social media.
For good "influencers" we have the Vilna Gaon, the Chofetz Chaim and many other Tzadikim and Gedolim - including those who are with us today.
