Someone who is lacking Emunah is lacking [true] life. Therefore, the heretics are essentially killing themselves for their heresy. To the extent that one strengthens his or her faith, so is the value of their life, because the essence of life is Emunah.
מי שהוא מושלל מן האמונה מושלל מן החיים ועל כן הכופרים ממיתים עצמם למענה. ולפי ערך תגבורת האמונה כן ערך החיים שהחיים עצמם גופה מהותה וישותה של האמונה.
