Transforming Worry

"Of course we worry. Of course we fear they’ll be mistreated when we’re not around…

It’s one of the most human parts of parenting — the ache of knowing we can’t protect them from everything.

But fear alone won’t keep them safe.
So we take that fear… and we alchemize it.

Into presence.
Into the way we speak to them, honor their boundaries, and hold space for their emotions.
Into the quiet, consistent message: You matter. You are worthy. You deserve respect.

Because when a child is raised to believe that deeply, they carry it with them — even into rooms that don’t.

They’re less likely to shrink to fit in,
to stay where they are diminished,
to mistake mistreatment for love.

Instead, they learn to walk away from what dishonors them — not with bitterness, but with certainty.

The kind of certainty that only comes from being rooted in love.

We won’t always be beside them.
But we can be the voice they hear when it matters most.

And the safety they carry in a world that won’t always feel safe."
