The issue of dodging the army is bothering me more and more. It is unjustifiable in my eyes.
There are about 343 million citizens in the USA and only about 1.3 million serve in the military. Think of all the college students who are partying and having a good time while men and women their age are endangering their lives - and sometimes dying and having limbs blown away - all over the world defending the country. Where is the "שוויון בנטל" - sharing the burden?!! Is it right that so many people can randomly choose not to serve their country?? Think of all the women who are raising children alone at home while their husband's serve in the military while other women have their husband's around all the time - and in about 2.3 percent of homes they even do dishes and laundry.
Congress MUST do something about it [not the dishes and laundry but the draft].
