Our frum boys [not only them but they are our main concern] think that a girl's looks are really, really important. It is sickening to me personally when I hear what girls in the shidduch scene have to do in order to get dates and how inquires are made [among other things] into her dress size [how on earth do Yeshiva boys know dress sizes??? I have been married for 31 years and have three daughters and have no idea what their dress sizes are nor do I care]. A bizayon to bnos Yisrael, to human dignity, to Tzniyus - and to the boys who lower themselves for the sake of their imagined life satisfaction.
Well, a famous Israeli "beauty queen" [who was chozeres bi-tshuva - thank G-d I don't know what she looks like as I disabled images on my computer but I can imagine that *ugly* - she is not] just announced that she is getting divorced .. for the second time .. after about three months of marriage.
That is in addition to EVERY Hollywood actress who breaks up with boyfriends [who in the secular world are like husbands] and gets divorced multiple times in her life. They just go from one relationship to the next their whole lives.
What happened?? SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Beautiful!!!
Well, it turns out that beauty is great for pictures but does little to nothing to bring one happiness. Neither for her nor for her spouse. Beauty alone NEVER sustains a marriage.
So do people really believe שקר החן והבל היופי אשה יראת השם היא תתהלל???

PS - This is not to say that one should be physically revolted by one's wife. There must be an attraction. But for attraction you don't need Ms. America or a size whatever. Besides - a large percentage of women are slim at 20 but as the years and pregnancies progess, the waistline continuously expands. So then they take shots that are bad for them in order to get skinner. Sad.
