Is The Soul Real? A Neurosurgeon Explores The Evidence (2025 Dallas Conference On Faith And Science)

These are comments to another video by this speaker:

My father had a stroke years ago.. he didn't remember anything, not even who my mother was - nothing. But he remembered psalm 23 and that God was important but my dad didn't know why. He recited psalm 23 hundreds of times, not knowing what it means but gave him peace. After 3 months, my father was healed by God in such a way that the doctors called it a miracle. What is even more shocking is that when my father had the stroke, I was at work in another country (I didnt know my father was in the proccess of having a stroke). As I was working, I started to cry for no reason and a voice told me to pray psalm 23. I did it many many times not knowing anything about my father. Later on I found out from my mother about my father being in the hospiral. God is REAL. HE IS REAL!!!

My father passed away in 2010. The morning of his funeral I was sitting in my car thinking about him and how he would enjoy the absolutely beautiful summer day it was. Then I heard his voice, as clear as a bell, “Lis.” I looked around thinking someone had to be speaking to me from outside the car. Again, “Lis.” It was my father’s voice. I said, “Yes, Dad?” “Take care of your mother.” I said, “Ok, Dad, I will, I promise.” Simple as that. And my grief was gone, replaced with overwhelming relief, because I had proof he was still alive. I can’t wait to see him again.

I am an ER physician. About 5 years ago a female patient was brought to the ER with an obvious stroke. She was completely comatose. CT of the head revealed a massive hemorrhagic stroke. I admitted her for comfort measures only and suggested immediate family be contacted ASAP. Her daughters had to travel from out of state and arrived later in the day, during the night the nurse called me bedside to this patient. My initial assumption was I would be declaring her deceased. When I arrived at her room she was sitting upright and engaged in lively conservation with her daughters. One of them remarked that she shouldn’t have driven so fast to get here since her mom was doing so well. I had no words. This lucidity lasted about 2 hours and she again became unresponsive. A short time later she died.

I worked in various ICUs over the years. Always assume they can hear you. I've had patients tell me everything that happened over weeks while they were supposed completely sedated.

My dad died from dementia, the evening before he passed we had a wonderful conversation for a few hours, he was completely lucid and knew exactly what was happening to him. The next day he passed and when I talked with his doctors they couldn't explain it. His brain was so ravaged by this disease that it just shut off and he died.

My mother died of metastatic breast cancer. I cared for her in her home over the last few weeks. She was asleep for much of the last week. When she’d awaken, she’d tell us where we’d been and what we’d been doing. She also very clearly was seeing into the spiritual realm.

There are a LOT more AMAZING stories.
