One purifies his intellect by having heightened levels of cerebral pleasure that extend even beyond the bounds of simcha. When this person is filled with the pleasure of Divine Splendor, he is guarded from blemishing his Bris [פגם ברית]. In order to do this a person must learn how to expand his brain with simcha and serenity with no obstacles together with pure humility that recognizes that every spiritual perception he has is a gift from Above, because he has no personal merit to be a receptor of such elevated understanding.
