The reason we don't have Nevuah is because we aren't connected. We are SO not connected that it doesn't even BOTHER us. It is like a person who has no attraction to the opposite sex [called "asexual"]. He doesn't know what it means to be in love and doesn't know WHAT ON EARTH everybody is getting so excited about. But he is in fact missing out on the most exhilarating feelings on earth [besides finding a parking spot on a Sunday morning on a busy Manhattan street]. We don't know what Nevuah is so we don't know what we are missing out on. Soon, im yirtzeh Hashem, Nevuah will return in full force and we will feel that closeness to Hashem once again.
