The future VP and her "husband" [halachically they aren't married....] made a video explaining what Chanuka is about and how beautiful it is. The irony is that there is no better example of people who represent what Chanukah is precisely AGAINST than them.
It says in Sefer Ha-Makabim:
In those days went there out of Israel wicked men, who persuaded many, saying,
“Let us go and make a covenant with the heathen that are round about us: for since we departed from them we have had much sorrow.”
So this device pleased them well. Then certain of the people were so forward herein, that they went to the king, who gave them a license to do after the ordinances of the heathen,
whereupon they built a place of exercise at Jerusalem according to the customs of the heathen and made themselves uncircumcised, and forsook the holy covenant, and joined themselves to the heathen, and were sold to do mischief.
Intermarrying [and living like a complete Goy] is the best way to forsake the holy covenant and destroy the Jewish people. So he is a classic Hellenist and she is a partner to his sins. But they light Chanukah candles [at least on camera] and explain to the American people what a beautiful UNIVERSAL holiday Chanukah is. It is like Amalekites celebrating Purim.
