I was just talking to a new friend I made here and I noted that in America it is so comfortable and pleasant that it is hard to feel the churban. He became a tad defensive and said that he was in Israel once and people there didn't feel the churban. Their attitude was that we have an army and don't need the Beis Hamikdash. Macho men!
I have a feeling that he was going in different circles than I go in. Where I usually find myself people are not terribly excited about the army..... [Since this diary is being publicized I must note that I value the army and love and pray for our chayalim].
We, takeh, want Moshiach now!
