Trump has a long history of גילוי עריות. Kamala famously had a long standing affair with a married man in her younger years. Now the story of her husband comes out.
What is the lesson?
Here is one: That is NOT our world. We are not "People of the Book"*. We are an עם קדוש - a Holy Nation. That means פרוש מן העריות [as per Rashi on קדושים תהיו]. We have nothing to do with the sexual permissiveness of this culture. These putative "leaders" are morally and spiritually corrupt. Sadly, the frum media and its followers are obsessed with them without appreciating how beneath us they are.
So we need them b/c "אלמלא מוראו איש את רעהו חיים בלעו" but at the end of the day we are separate from them, their viewpoints and way of life.
"הן עם לבדד ישכון ובגויים לא יתחשב".
