True Love

“Love is the ability and willingness to allow those that you care for to be what they choose for themselves without any insistence that they satisfy you.”

This is called by our Holy Sages "Ahava sheaina tluya badavar" - Unconditional love. Parents and teachers much also show unconditional love. It is a Hurculean task to achieve such a level of love. My own experience observing many people [making me an "observant" Jew] is that it is EXTREMELY rare to find such a love. Many people CLAIM that they love unconditionally but then when it comes to li'myseh they insist that the person they claim to love follow their wishes.

Imagine if spouses loved unconditionally - it would be TERRIBLE!!!

For divorce lawyers.

They would lose their jobs.

May we all merit experiencing unconditional love.
