In Parshas Beshalach we read the the Egyptians were pursuing the Jews and they were exceedingly afraid [wouldn't you be if an army of blood thirsty Arabs were running after you chas vi-shalom?] and cried out to Hashem.
The question is that Hashem already told Moshe that the Egyptians would run after the Jews [וחזקתי את לב פרעה ורדף אחריהם] and would dispose of them, so why were they afraid??
The answer is that only Moshe knew that this was part of the plan but the Jews didn't know.
OK - but why did Moshe cry out also?? Explains the Sfas Emes - Moshe knew that the Jews were going to be saved but he couldn't take it that the Jews were suffering.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Big lesson. Very often we hear of the pain of another person and we placate ourselves that Hashem will help and everything will be ok. True. But how can we see someone suffering and not feel their pain and do whatever we can to help in the meantime.....
Another "ahhhhhh".
Have a delicious shabbos sweetest friends!!
