I saw one religious news site that said that Gov. Cuomo "murdered" thousands of people.
I usually don't write letters to news websites. Their job is to sensationalize the news in order to get people to click and generate advertising revenue. But this time I couldn't resist and I wrote them a note imploring them to change their wording. What a HORRIBLE thing to say about a person. Cuomo murdered no one. He may or may not have mishandled the Corona crisis but he did not murder anyone. One has to have just a minuscule amount of sensitivity to avoid writing such terrible things. He is trying his best.
People should think before they write. Let's say Cuomo reads this [very possible]. He gets deeply hurt [without a doubt]. He then associates Jews with a hatred of him and who falsely, publicly slander him. How is he going to treat Jews in the future? We are guests in America and should behave like good guests. Among other things - compliment your host a LOT.
People also like to say that Trump is responsible for the 195,000 Americans who died from Coronavirus. He might or might not have made mistakes [more likely the former] but one cannot say [as much as he hates Trump] that he is responsible for all the deaths. ANYBODY who would have been President would have seen many many many deaths. He is in an impossible situation. If he opens up - people's lives are at risk. If he closes down - people's lives are at risk [allowing the economy to crumble imperils hundreds of millions of Americans - and the free world].
So let us be careful and fair in how we express ourselves. It is also prudent and wise to focus on the positive when possible. We need more positivity in our culture.
