This week two of my sons have birthdays and I can only thank Hashem for giving me children!!! So.... thank you HASHEM for giving me not only children but healthy ones and for providing us with FOOD AND SHELTER!!!!!

Whoa!!! And these are only some of the many many more mazel tovs in Klal Yisrael. The news likes to report tragedies and crimes but they are so much less common than all of the smachos we have! Ahhhh, but that good news should sell papers....

In Parshas Terumah we read about the Kruvim on top of the holy Ark in the holy of holies. Chazal tell us that these Kruvim were little children with angelic faces. We also find Kruvim in Breishis [3/24] who were destroying angels holding on to a sword, ensuring that Adam and Chava can't get to the tree of Life.
So are Kruvim good or bad? Holy of holies or destroying angels??
Ahhhhhhhhh - BOTH!! Said Rav Meyer Shapiro ztz"l: It depends [such a Jewish-Talmudic answer:-)]. If you place your children in an environment that is holy of holies then they will likely turn out like sweet angels. But if brought up in the wrong way then they can turn, chas vi-shalom, into the Kruvim with swords stopping people from approaching the tree of life.
All too often, the greatest enemies of the Jewish people are ... Jewish. So may I suggest that we pay careful attention to the things our children read, hear and watch....
Nu beloved friends - I can only bless us all that we have children who are holy of holies!!! And we should be the ones to set the example!
