Two of the reasons that one should [must?] learn Tshuvos Yabia Omer:
1] The TREMENDOUS amount of source material in every Tshuva. Unparalleled.
2] Humility. Any notion of arrogance one might feel about the amount of Torah he knows IMMEDIATELY dissipates into nothingness.
For those who have trouble with the text, two suggestions:
1] Learn a LOT and eventually you will be fluent enough to read through Tshuva sfarim.
2] We have many shiurim on line that explain in simple English. BS"D.
