New York Lt. Gov. Brian Benjamin [no relation to the Biblical Benjamin as Mr. Benjamin is descended from Cham while the Biblical Benjamin is from the line of Shem and is of the caucasian persuasion] was arrested Tuesday in a federal corruption investigation, creating a political crisis for Gov. Kathy Hochul seven months after she selected Benjamin as a partner to make a fresh start in an office already rocked by scandal. Governer Hochul commented that she was truly shocked to hear the news as she had never before heard of corruption in politics save for her predecessor killing old people during Covid.....
Benjamin, a Democrat and big time Yankee fan, was accused in an indictment of participating in a scheme to obtain campaign contributions from a real estate developer in exchange for Benjamin’s agreement to use his influence as a state senator to get a $50,000 grant of state funds for a nonprofit organization the developer controlled.
Facing charges including bribery, fraud, nivul peh, conspiracy, buying factories filled with leavened food products in exchange for merely lifting a handkerchief [!!!!!!] and falsification of records, Benjamin pleaded not guilty Tuesday at an initial appearance in Manhattan federal court. He was released and bail was set at $250,000. If he pleaded not guilty, then he MUST not be guilty. I mean - would he LIE????????????????????? Never.
Two months after Benjamin became lieutenant governor, a real estate developer who steered campaign contributions toward Benjamin’s failed bid for New York City comptroller was indicted. Federal authorities accused Gerald Migdol of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, eating Kitniyot on Pesach when no one was looking and aggravated identity theft in illegally giving donations to Benjamin’s campaign.
Here is where things get complicated. Is Gerald's last name "Migdol" or "Magdil". His lawyer couldn't be reached for comment but there is a loophole in the law for alleged criminals whose real name is not known. A Rabbi we asked about this obviously Jewish name suggested that on the Sabbath and holidays his name is "Migdol" while during the week he goes with "Magdil".
What is THAT all about???
Mr. Migdol/Magdil could not be reached for comment as he was busy saying grace after meals. His business partner claimed that he originally conspired to commit crimes with Mr. Benjamin but after finding out that despite his Jewish name [remember "it's all about the Benjamin's" of the Jew loving congresswoman??] he was a Gentile, he dropped the whole plan. He only cheats and steals with fellow Jews.
