Rav Elya Lopian once went to the opulent house of a very wealthy man. Rav Elya looked very sad. The man asked him why. Rav Elya explained that in a hospital, the more machines one is connected to, the sicker he is and the more dire the situation. You are connected to so many machines I feel terrible for you. It is a sign of severe illness.
