Change Your Life #2 - Be Shabbos-dige

The pasuk says "זכור את יום השבת לקדשו".  Remember Shabbos day to sanctify it. The Chiddushei Ha-Rim noted that under the zayin of the word זכור is a komatz and not a shva. If there would have been a shva then we would read "Zichor" which would mean to do the "act" of remembering. We read Zachor which implies a constant state of being. We always remember - not just from time to time.

Many of us get caught up in the rat race of life [even if you win the rat race you remain a rat] and forget what is truly important and why we are here. The pasuk says to have a perpetual Shabbos-dige state of mind. Shabbos is the tachlis of creation. It is the day when we put aside all secular matters [not to mention our phones...] and focus on connecting to Hashem, learning His Torah and freeing our minds from any matter not related to Him. Remember Shabbos all week long so you never lose sight of the goal.
