One of the biggest and most geshmak tzadikim I know is the musician R' Yonatan Razel. This Shabbos after mincha I broke out into והיא שעמדה and he joined me. WE DID A DUET!! Should I go into the music business? I think I will keep my day job [which seems to be writing this blog].
Today I walked by him when he was learning chavrusa with a huuuge talmid chacham who is also the grandson of one of the luminaries of this generation ztz"l. When he [R' Yonatan] saw me, he did the ol' "lift the backside off the chair" to show me that he wants to rise for me. Imagine, a person who raises the neshamos of hundreds of thousands if not millions of people trying to give ME kavod!!!
Well, he was actually make HIMSELF more "mechubadike" [even though that clearly wasn't his intention]. As the mishna says
איזהו מכובד? המכבד את הבריות!
