Appreciating The Righteous

The Rashba famously rules the "מפרסמים עושי מצוה" - we should publicize the names of those who do mitzvos. In that spirit: Three people answered my request to learn the mishnayos. Rabbi Ari Spiegler, R' Josh Richman and R' Amitai Glicksman. It was right before Pesach, an extremely busy time, the mishnayos needed were difficult ones with which most people are unfamiliar and the person for whom the mishnayos was being being learned was someone that they didn't know personally. Yet, out of the goodness of their hearts and neshamos they "stepped up to the plate" and enabled the  Siyum Hashas. [When I asked numerous people face to face and was turned down I realized how hard it was for people.]

For that I am SUPER-GRATEFUL.

For the rest of us - I understand. It wasn't the ideal time to ask and there was a very short time to complete it. But for the future, next time any of us see a sign up on the wall asking people to fill in their names to learn for the neshama of a person who no longer has the zchus to be in this world and to do mitzvos - remember what an AMAZING chesed shel emes you are doing. The fact that you don't get paid, you don't get appreciated [you can't tell the person "you owe me one"] and that it takes time and effort make the chesed so special.

Oh, and along the way, you learn some really interesting mishnayos [when is the word of Hashem and those who transmit his teachings NOT interesting??] and elevate your OWN neshama.

LI-CHAIIIMMMM!!!!

P.S. - There is still an opportunity!! You can learn mishnayos - or anything else - li-lui nishmas Elisha Chanina Ben HaRav Aharon Avraham. You can also give money to tzedaka or do any other mitzva. I believe you will. You are a PRIZED MEMBER of the MI KI-AMCHA YISRAEL group. There is no nation like ours on earth and I am honored to be a member as well 😊😊 .
