The First Rule

כרפס stands for כלל ראשון פה סגור - The first rule is a closed mouth. After that comes יחץ - even if you must speak, say only half of what you intended ["Yachatz" means half].

[Heard from the Rebbe Shlita]

Yes, Pesach is פה סח - Mouth speaks. It is a time for being מרבה לספר - talking a lot about yetzias mitzrayim. But at the same time we must be careful NOT to speak about matters that should not be discussed.

Example: Secrets. May people confide in me and I work hard to keep things confidential. I have noticed that not everyone has the same sense of propriety. People love being informed of other people's business and finding out secret information. The entire galus mitzrayim was because the Jews couldn't keep secrets [See Rashi in Shmos on the pasuk אכן נודע הדבר]. That is something to work on over Pesach. Not talking about other people.

Talk about the gemara and the hagada and hallel and let holy words emante from your mouth.

האמנתי כי אדבר - I believe because I speak.

Love and blessing sweeeeeetest friends!
