This story sent chills up my spine. It was told last week by Rav Yaakov Shapira Shlita [Rosh Yeshivat Merkaz HaRav] in his weekly parsha sicha.
A boy was having trouble finding a wife because of a scar on his face. He went to a tzaddik who asked him how he got the scar. The boy explained that he was once walking to the Kotel and he saw an Arab about to attack a Jewish girl with an axe. He jumped in front of her in order to save her and took the axe in his face.
The tzaddik told him to tell the girl he dates the story. The boy did as was told and the girl replied "I have been looking for the person who saved me for a number of years and now I found him."
