Walking Briskly For Body And Soul

One very important aspect of life that many religious people ignore is exercise. Can you imagine, exercise is the one thing that everybody in the health field agrees is good for you. Our problem is that we have cars. Cars can be great. They can turn a three hour walk into a fifteen minute drive. But they also serve our human inclination to be lazy and immobile. Gotta go down the block? Hop in the car. Five minute walk to shul? Turn on the ignition and you're there in no time [and little effort].

Sometimes, one should keep his car keys in his pocket and walk. You already do that on Satudays - so try it on Sundays as well:-).

But what about the valuable time one loses while walking which he could save if he drives? No problem. Think about Torah as you walk. Think, for example, about a nice chiddush of Rav Chaim Soloveitchik or any of his family members in gemara, halacha or Chumash. Then you can call your exercise .....
