Ain't Gonna Work On Saturday

DETROIT, MICHIGAN - Rabbi Brian Goldstein, rabbi of Temple Beth David ["Beth" named after donor Beth Weintraub of blessed memory and "David" after her husband David] has gone on strike. He explained that as rabbi he has to work seven days a week and his salary is not being adjusted to conform with rising cost of living. His wife Brenda, the Temple's cantor, is also striking.

Fortunately, given the Temple's dwindling membership and ever diminishing attendance, nobody has noticed yet.
