ירקרק ואדמדם

ויקרא י"ג:מ"ט

וְהָיָ֨ה הַנֶּ֜גַע יְרַקְרַ֣ק׀ א֣וֹ אֲדַמְדָּ֗ם בַּבֶּ֩גֶד֩ א֨וֹ בָע֜וֹר אֽוֹ־בַשְּׁתִ֤י אוֹ־בָעֵ֙רֶב֙ א֣וֹ בְכׇל־כְּלִי־ע֔וֹר נֶ֥גַע צָרַ֖עַת ה֑וּא וְהׇרְאָ֖ה אֶת־הַכֹּהֵֽן׃

In modern Hebrew, the word ירקרק means greenish and אדמדם means reddish. In the Mishna ['נגעים י"א ד] the word ירקרק means [according to the simple meaning of the Mishna] the greenist and אדמדם means the reddist. However, my nephew told me on Shabbos that there is a Tshuvas Chasam Sofer that he understands the words as they are used today.
