When we learn Torah we feel that if we don't understand then it wasn't worth our while. so we strive for maximum comprehension. This is a fundamental error. Torah is the Word Of G-d and the very INVOLVEMENT we have with the Torah brings a spirit of purity and sanctity upon our souls. Of course we should ALSO try to understand what we are learning but unlike all other wisdom, there is great benefit to the learning even when there is little or no comprehension [sorta makes you feel better about learning mishnayos Kinnim:)].
That is why we make a special bracha daily "לעסוק בדברי תורה" - Not ללמוד תורה, to learn Torah, but to be involved in Torah. לעסוק.

Alternatively, the Baalei Mussar emphasize that one must treat Torah like work. When I was in America recently, I attended a bris. I saw a friend at davening but by the edible part of the ceremony [i.e. breakfast] he was gone. His wife explained to me that he doesn't get to the office past 8:15, so no delicious breakfast for him this morning.
People should only take their learning so seriously....
