Minding Our Own Business

It was recently reported in the news that a 73 year old Chasidic man married a 38 year old woman. There were many comments posted, some in favor, others critical.

I have a comment: Maybe, just maybe, it is none of anyone else's business??! They decided to get married. Why do I have to offer my feedback? Why do we live in a world where people believe that other people's private business is subject to their opinions and life narrative? Would we want others commenting on decisions that we made? No. So isn't it respectful to refrain from commenting on the decisions of others?

Do we even know either person involved? Unless you live in Lvov - probably not. So my suggestion for the day - that we mind our own business....
