Is there are connection between Emunah in Hashem and good Middos?

בָּנִ֣ים אַתֶּ֔ם לַיהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם לֹ֣א תִתְגֹּֽדְד֗וּ וְלֹֽא־תָשִׂ֧ימוּ קׇרְחָ֛ה בֵּ֥ין עֵינֵיכֶ֖ם לָמֵֽת
You are the children of Hashem your God; you shall not cut yourselves
and you shall not make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
וטעם בנים – אחר שתדעו כי אתם בנים לשם והוא אוהב אתכם יותר מהאב לבן, אל תתגודדו על כל מה שיעשה, כי כל מה שיעשה לטוב הוא. ואם לא תבינוהו, כאשר לא יבינו הבנים הקטנים מעשה אביהם, רק יסמכו עליו, כן תעשו גם אתם.
The meaning of children is, now that you know that you are children of God and that the Hashem loves you more than a father loves his son, do not cut yourselves over anything that Hashem does, for whatever the Hashem does is for the good. If you do not understand Hashem, then act like small children who do not understand what their father does but nevertheless rely upon him. [Ibn Ezra]
A humble person can say "I don't understand. There are ideas and information beyond the ken of my understanding and knowledge." A haughty person has great trouble saying that. If he doesn't "get it" then it isn't so!!
A humble person understands that Hashem's ways are faaaar beyond him and he is OK with that. כי לא מחשבותי מחבותיכם ולא דרכיכם דרכי נאום השם. An arrogant person says "Hashem, what you did made no sense. So either a] You don't exist or b] You do but I don't like such a G-d.
