I was sent an interview with the principal of a popular MO high school. He was asked what his educational goal is. He responded that his goal is that the students should have a positive attitude towards Judaism and that they want to continue learning and pass it on to the next generation.
I have known many graduates of his institution and they do a really great job at reaching their goal. The students are very positive towards Judaism [as opposed to some schools where they poison the kids to Torah].
Problem is that the students generally know almost nothing and can't properly read a line of Gemara or even understand what they are saying when they daven. That is the case in all similar institutions. [At least it was a few years ago when I was in this loop].
In this school they spend [officially] an hour and a half a day learning Gemara.
If you want more for your child i.e. that he eventually blossom into a Talmid Chochom, you can send him to a Yeshiva where he learns [in high school] 12 or so hours of Gemara a day [in Israel that is the way it works].
The principal also said that he has no solution to the "Tech Epidemic". In the schools my children attend they have the solution. No tech for any child. Period. It works great. No cell phone and על אחת כמה וכמה no smartphone. A kid found with a smartphone is OUT [if not the first time then the second or third]. No Facebook, tik tok, netflix, youtube etc. Their lives revolve around what it should - learning. In other schools the kids can't focus b/c their heads are in their tech. World-wide PANDEMIC.
The Charedi world is far from perfect but there is a lot the rest of the world can learn from them.
