The natural and the miraculous are interconnected like body and soul. Miracles only happen within the context of nature just that nature is within time and miracles are above time. What happens naturally in a slow process happens miraculously in a moment. The notion that certain things can only happen miraculously cause a weakening of one's faith that the light of Hashem penetrates all parts of creation. We want to be redeemed in any possible way and G-d won't abandon us and will show us his greatness through the means of nature הטבע - which is the same gematria as אלהים.

I read that a Gadol from Eretz Yisrael went to America to speak recently and emphasized that the medina and everything related etc. have NOTHING to do with the ultimate geula. The geula, he said, will happen miraculously.
I think Hashem can bring that geula through natural means, even through the works of secular Zionists. He is HASHEM. He can do it all. He can work through nature and doesn't need miracles.
I am not arguing with this Gadol. I am a NOBODY. LESS. Who am I to argue?! But that is apparently what the Vilna Gaon held. So I humbly stand in his camp. And of course that of Maran HaRav ztz"l.
