This rabbi just had all of his remaining teeth pulled and new dentures were being made.
The first Shabbos, he only spoke for five minutes.
The second Shabbos, he spoke for ten minutes.
But, on the third Shabbos, he spoke for an hour and a half.
When asked about this by some of the congregation, he responded this way.
The first Shabbos, my gums were so sore it hurt to talk.
The second Shabbos, my gums felt better but my dentures were hurting so I spoke a bit longer.
The third Shabbos, I accidentally grabbed my wife's dentures... and I couldn't stop talking!
