Ruchniyus is life. We are not bodies that contain a soul but souls that inhabit a body.
That being said we must remember that our bodies are holy as well. We must take good care of our holy bodies. This is done by not feeding it poison [Coke is poison, junk food is poison, smoking and drinking are poison], by exercising frequently, by sleeping sufficient hours, keeping proper hygiene etc. etc. This is all part of our Avodas Hashem with our holy bodies. We have forgotten the about the Kedusha of our bodies. That is what Bris Milah is all about - our covenant with Hashem is expressed on our physical bodies.
Tchiyas Hameisim will take place in a physical body [albiet not identical to the one we have now but an improved version]. This indicates the holiness of the body for even in the pristine and pure state of the world after resurrection we will have bodies.
