This week was the Yahrtzeit of Rav Yechiel Yaakov Weinberg I read an article abt. him and it was remarkable. Instead of describing who he really was - he was portrayed as the author wanted him to be. The problem is that he didn't inform the readers that this is a fictional account based loosely on a true story.
This is bothersome - to say the least. Why educate with sheker and falsification? If you are not satisfied with who he was - then don't write about him. But to write about him giving a false picture is shameful.
And sad.
