I heard a talk from a popular on line speaker. In it, he proved that one must go to college b/c it is better for learning.
??
He had a friend who was a masmid in yeshiva, never went to college then became a stockbroker and stopped learning seriously. But, if he would have gone to college and become a lawyer or a doctor then he would have continued learning.
[I listened twice to make sure I heard him right.]
People take this person and his ideas seriously.
When you are a worm in horseradish - the entire world is horseradish [Malcolm Gladwell claims that this is a Yiddish expression]. When some people have a certain belief - everything they see is a proof for their belief.
This is not about going or not going to college. It is about how intellectually dishonest people can be.
