Lessons From A Weasel

There is a mishna [פסחים פרק א] that allows us to check a room for chometz and not have to worry that after we checked a weasel [or the like] dragged some chometz in there. [On that Tzadikim say "Pop goes the weasel"😊😊].

Otherwise - explains the mishna - it will never end. We would have to continuously check all Pesach lest after our search some chometz got in there. "אין לדבר סוף".

This is a GREAT life lesson. We all worry. So let us say you are worrying about your money - it is NEVER-ENDING what can happen. There are an infinite amount of ways one can lose ALL of their money instantaneously or gradually ח"ו. Same goes with our health and that of our loved ones. In a second, one can be afflicted with an infinite amount of diseases ח"ו [they can also develop gradually - and painfully ח"ו]. It also takes LESS THAN A SECOND to die - and it can happen to ANY HUMAN BEING at ANY MINUTE!!! And the list of potential tragedies is infinite. אין לדבר סוף. Life is TOUGH - and NOBODY gets out of this alive. NOBODY!!

SO if we choose, we can make ourselves crazzzzzyyyyy. OR - as they say in AA - we can "Let go and let G-d".

The latter is DEFINITELY the preferred option on MANY levels!!

So to summarize the takeaway lessons from the mishna:

A] Check for chometz and leave it - DROP THE OCD!!!

B] Don't worry - be happy.
