Elisha Chanina z"l Ben HaRav Aharon Avraham

Dear Friends,

Today would have been our son Lishi's z"l 13th birthday, his Bar Mitzvah. This morning, together as a family we visited the cemetery in Beit Shemesh. As it is chol hamoed, a time which calls for joy, we spoke about the lessons we can learn from Lishi. Lessons such as bringing joy and positive energy to every day, to love abundantly and endlessly and the special blessing of family and friends.

We wanted to do something that would be meaningful on this difficult day. We felt Torah learning and chessed would be most fitting.

We thank you for helping us complete a special siyyum (completion of learning) in memory of Elisha Chanina.

With the Torah learning you dedicated to this cause, we as a caring community completed the entire Tanach and all six sections of the Mishnah (Shas Mishnayot). This is a significant accomplishment and has brought blessing to Lishi's memory.

With your help we have also collected funds in Lishi's memory for 13 different charitable organizations - all that have special meaning to Lishi's life. We will be contributing to the following organizations in the coming days. If you would like to share in this zedaka please click here: http://www.lishislove.org/donate/
