Recidivism

Bureau of Justice Statistics studies have found high rates of recidivism [committing crimes after having served jail time] among released prisoners. ... Within five years of release, about three-quarters (76.6 percent) of released prisoners were rearrested. Of those prisoners who were rearrested, more than half (56.7 percent) were arrested by the end of the first year.

The Torah has a BEAUTIFUL concept - TESHUVA!!!😊😊

Wouldn't it be GREAT if they brought in people [clergymen, therapists etc.] to teach the prisoners how do deal with their aggression, anger, urges etc. etc. The amount of money the government spends on incarceration [i.e. billions of dollars] could instead be spent on reforming them - and there will be a LOT of change left over that Trump can use to, say, send his enemies back to where they came from, build walls and manufacture red hats that say "Make America Great Again".
