There was once a group of Satmar Chasidim who were blacklisted by the Rebbe [Rav Yoel] and kicked out of the Chasidus and had to move away to Lakewood. One of the things they did to arouse the Rebbe's ire was that the Rebbe had a mirror in his house for his Rebbetzin [Chasidic men don't look in the mirror]. The Chasidim didn't like it so one time when he wasn't home they shattered it into pieces.
When he saw what they had done, he roared "Be frum for yourselves but not for other people".
A good lesson for life....
