Not only zero close friends but zero friends. He has almost nothing to do with anybody and has considerable social problems.
THAT is a commentary on social media.
Another one: People who are MISERABLE, on anti-depressants, whose lives are in shambles, present themselves on social media as such HAPPPYYYYYYYYY people, so fulfilled, just lovin' life. The reality is the EXACT opposite of what they present to the world.
Let us strive to have REAL friends and to be GENUINELY happy and not just "social media happy".
