Tonight we had a blackout in shul in the middle of Shmoneh Esrei. People pulled out their phones and used them as flashlights.
After davening, the Chazan [who may or may not have been yours truly] faced the Tzibbur and said the following:
לכב' מורי ורבותי,
הרבה זמן הציקה לי השאלה - איך אפשר להביא פלאפון לבית הכנסת?? מה לפלאפון ולבית ה'???
אבל עכשיו אני מבין - בגלל הפסקת חשמל!!! עכשיו יש לימוד זכות!! הפסקת חשמל!!!!
