Mesorah?

I read a quote from someone who spoke of how special it is to be part of the "Modern Orthodox Mesorah".

I found that intriguing. I have never heard that term before. "Modern Orthodox Mesorah".

That might be because when my parents were children the idea of "Modern Orthodoxy" didn't exist. So that "Mesorah" is younger than my parents and certainly my grandparents.

So I am not saying that one shouldn't identify as "Modern Orthodox" [although I emphatically do not - although I use a refrigerator and washing machine which are quite modern]. Just that there is no "Mesorah" to speak of.

The "Mesorah" of "Torah Mi-Sinai" however is tried and true for 3,300 years plus.
