A man is changing a lightbulb in his house when he falls off the ladder. His wife calls Hatzala who promptly comes [they always do!!!] and they put a pillow under his head as they examine him.
The Hatzala guy asks him if he is comfortable.
He answers in a uniquely Jewish fashion "I make a living...".
This is the most AMAZING time of the year. Really. The gemara says that the Aseres Yemei Teshuva is when Hashem is closest. We REALLY have to take advantage!!! So I couldn't resist sending this Motzei Shabbos email. If you don't like it - then by ALL MEANS!! Pass it on to a friend who might like it more
We all want to be better people. What is stopping us?? Among other things - comfort. We are COMFORTABLE with certain ways of acting, talking and thinking. If we want to change, we have to step out of our COMFORT ZONE. THAT - is a challenge. But if we are equal to the challenge it will pay off big dividends!! It is like exercise - we have to be somewhat uncomfortable as we schvitz away - but it is WORTH IT!!!
BELOVED FRIENDS!!! YOU CAN DO IT!! We all have our own personal challenges. We have to recognize them and then devise strategies to overcome them. It might not be comfortable at first but it's DEFINITELY worth the effort!!!
