PRESERVE LIFE!!!

New Health Ministry data issued as the Rosh Hashanah holiday ended Wednesday evening showed that some 20,000 new COVID-19 cases had been diagnosed over the holiday, which began on Monday evening.

The number of active cases stood at 85,617, of which 678 were in serious condition. Some 55 people died over the holiday, and the death toll stood at 7,260.

-------------

In one neighborhood I know of the breakdown was that in the frummer shuls - no masks required [and quite often not worn]. In the more "modern" shuls - masks required.

In one very frum neighborhood - barely a mask to be seen with the shuls packed with people.

I personally stood outside of shul for just about the whole time. People were like "why aren't you coming in?"  I'm like "Ya heard of Corona?" Hashem hears tfillos wherever you are.

So AGAIN I ask - If masks are effective then why is it the "frum thing" to not wear one. If they are NOT effective then why is it the "less frum" thing to wear one?

Is anyone on either side privy to information that the other side isn't?

Why have people en masse decided to ignore the poskim who say to follow the doctors? Like - isn't this a GREAT place to be machmir and follow the mask mandating Rabbonim *just in case* they are on to something?

Do Charedim not get sick or die from Corona?? Only modern Orthodox people do? One of my teenage children once asked me [unaware of the baby making process at the time] how it is that Charedim have more children than modern people? Of course the answer is that Hashem loves them more so He blesses them w/ more children馃榾!! So here too - Hashem loves the Charedim more so they aren't getting sick or dying?? Except for the thousands and thousands who have gotten sick and the hundreds [at least] who have died [including very recently a healthy 47 year old father of many].

So who is taking responsibility for all of the orphans and widows???

Sweetest friends - I am not the brightest guy. I'll admit it. Call a spade a spade. Call a dense guy dense. But I can't wrap my little brain around this as hard as I try!! I am SOOOO baffled. 馃槙

I am writing this from Shaarei Tzedek hospital. Here EVERYBODY has to wear masks. So here it is the frum thing, the modern thing, the secular thing and the Arab thing - to wear a mask. Strangely, it is probably safer in this disease filled building than in some shuls 专讞"诇. Believe it or not but a lot of people were killed in shul [including a big Rav the son of a very big Rav].

HASHEM GAVE US THE MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTT precious gift called LIFE!!! LET'S PRESERVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!馃槝馃榾馃槉

Even if masks are bogus - we don't KNOW that and wearing one shows Hashem that you value and treasure His gift. So does washing your hands frequently and taking other precautions.
