No Jokes

R' Yankel Miller is one of the most popular badchanim [merry makers at smachos] in the Jewish world. His sister died and a certain Rav stipulated his visit with the provision that R' Yankel doesn't make any jokes.

He came and said that he heard that she died of cancer. Where was it? he asked.

R' Yankel didn't bat an eyelash and said "Here. In Monsey."

The Rav walked out.
