In the previous post, we saw that Yitzchak's argument was that sin is not innate to the Jewish people but is rather something external to their essential persona.
He continues and argues "Moreover, how much have they sinned? How many are the years of man? Seventy. Subtract twenty, for which you don't punish [and] there remain fifty."
The human court punishes for sins from the age of 13 but that is only in order to preserve the social framework. If we don't punish from the age of 13, we will have a lot of teenagers running amok doing wild things. So we have to punish wrongdoers. But until one is 20, he is not held accoutable by the heavenly court because his real, mature self is not actualized until he is 20. Thus, Yitzchak argues that all the sins that the Jews did until the age of 20 can't be counted.
"ועוד, כמה חטאו, כמה שנותיו של אדם, ע' שנה, דל עשרים דלא ענשת עלייהו, פשו להו חמשים".
עד כמה לא יוכל החטא המקרי לעקר את הטוב היסודי המהותי, מתבאר ג"כ מצד עוצם הצמצום של האפשרות לנגע ברום המעלה המהותית של קדושת ישראל, שהיא יסוד כל העולמים כולם בתוכנם האידיאלי העליון. העונש בידי אדם בא רק מצד ההפגעה החצונה, שהעולם החברותי אשר לאדם נפגע ע"י החוטא הבוגר בבגרות הראשונה, בגרות י"ג שנה ויום אחד. אבל עדיין לא הוקבעה הצורה השלמה שתוכל להפגע ע"י המעשים מצד כחה העליון, שהוא מתגלה בדיני שמים דוקא. א"כ, כל חטא]ו[ת האדם עד עשרים, הרי הם רק פגמים מקריים, שבודאי לא יוכלו להרס את התוכן העצמי של הצורה העליונה, ולהביא אותה לידי כליון ומחיה בשום אופן.
