How long will I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart by day; how long will my enemy have the upper hand over me?
What bothers us so much about Hashem hiding his face is that we have to find the answers from within ourselves without Hashem. Even though we know thatthe slavation will come [as it says at the end of the perek], it bothers us that in the meantime "the enemy has the upper hand" and the name of Hashem is disgraced.
