Social scientists [sounds like people who go to a laboratory in order to hang out and make friends...] seem to be unanimous in their determination that most of our decisions, even life changers, are NOT based on our rational intellect but on deeper emotional and subconscious factors. The more you understand yourself, the greater your chances of making wise decisions. The more I read about it, the more I am stuck by how irrational a human being is... If we THINK that we are making a completely rational decision, that is just part of our complex mechanisms to fool ourselves.
